Just received the March schedule for the free Horizon Wimba Desktop Lecture series, and have signed up for this one:
The Attributes and Experiences of Librarians Who Earned a Graduate Degree via Distance Education: Findings and Implications.
A growing number of library schools accredited by the American Library Association have begun offering graduate degrees via distance education, launching a debate within the library community about the quality and acceptance of such degrees. Responses to an online survey of graduates from distance education programs indicate that, while a majority would do it again, the distance education environment is not optimal for all students. Join the researchers in a lively discussion of survey results and possible implications for the future of library science distance education programs.
This will be delivered online on Thursday, March 17 from 3-4 PM EST.
