7 things you should know about Screencasting

The latest addition to the Educause "7 things you should know..." series is about Screencasting.  The 7 questions answered are What is it?  Who's doing it? How does it work? Why is it significant? What are the downsides? Where is it going? and What are the implications for teaching and learning?

To answer the question of Who's doing it, they start with, "Screencasts have become a regular fixture in distance education programs because they provide a sense of engagement between faculty and students without compromising the ability to access learning materials online whenever and wherever it is convenient."
