I haven't had to worry about this in a while since I get to use my University's license for Bomgar, but if you're looking for a free tool for remote tech support you should take a look at Google Hangouts, as suggested at Profhacker. Even more potentially interesting is Engadget's report that Google is "reportedly testing Helpouts: professional services through Hangouts".
